Routine Health Exams

Seeing the doctor doesn’t always have to happen when you or your family member is feeling ill; we would like to see you before there are issues. We spend a fair amount of time discussing wellness strategies and prevention at Weeks Family Medicine. We can schedule you and every member of your family for yearly exams, sports physicals, etc.

Our Services

Obstetrical, Prenatal, Postpartum and Lactation Care

We are proud to offer care through all phases of your pregnancy. The Weeks Family Medicine team will be here for you and your family before you conceive, throughout your pregnancy and after your sweet little baby makes their grand entrance into the world. We offer support services including discussions around conception, prenatal care, lactation support, postpartum counsel, IUD consultations and so much more! We love being a part of your special journey and are happy to assist you in any way we can.

Lactation Services

Between feeding a baby and finding time to rest, being a new parent can be challenging. WFM’s Lactation Specialist offers maternal and infant support, beginning in your prenatal stages of care. This includes pregnancy consultations, newborn visits, and ongoing support and care throughout your entire feeding journey with your infant. Our goal is to set families up for success to help create life-long nutritional health by providing in-depth education on infant feeding and behavior.

IUD (Intrauterine Device)

Birth control is available in many forms and an IUD is just one of the many we offer to our patients. We currently use Mirena ® brand and Paragard ® IUD. We encourage you to discuss with your provider which type would best suit your needs. Read the IUD FAQs.

Dr. Weeks has more than 20 years of experience performing vasectomies. We understand that most men are apprehensive about having anything sharp in “that area” so we take every opportunity to make it as comfortable as possible. We devote an entire appointment to answering any questions or concerns that you might have regarding the surgery and after-care. In some situations, a gentle sedative may be prescribed to alleviate day-of surgery anxiety.

While most children need only see a medical provider when they require a routine health exam or vaccinations, there are times when a cold lasts a little too long or a fall on the playground requires a few stitches; maybe even a cast. We’re here for that!

We typically leave a few appointments available on the schedule for “urgent visits”. So if you need to get in right away—and dread the wait (and cost) of going to the Emergency Room—give us a call.

If you decide that this procedure is right for your little man, we encourage you to schedule this to be done at your infant’s two week check–up. Dr. Weeks recommends waiting to have it done at this appointment rather than in the hospital immediately after birth so that your baby’s first few transitional days can be devoted to bonding with his new family, working out any breastfeeding issues and simply adjusting to his new environment.

Dermatological Procedures

Suspicious moles, unsightly warts and many skin disorders do not always require a trip to a dermatologist. We have the ability remove, biopsy and treat most conditions or lesions right here in our office. We send specimens to St. Charles Medical Center Laboratory for pathological review.

Travel Medicine and Vaccines

If you’re planning a trip to a foreign country, chances are you’ll need a few vaccines to keep you healthy while abroad. Kirsten Heron PA-C is one of only a handful of providers in Central Oregon with the capability to provide Yellow Fever Vaccination to travelers. She offers comprehensive travel consultations and administers:  Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Polio, Hepatitis A and B, and Meningitis vaccines as well as prescriptions for Malaria prophylaxis.

Laboratory Services

Our Medical Assistants are skilled phlebotomists offering the convenience and ease of having blood drawn immediately before or after your appointment. Additionally, we have the capability to perform:  Rapid Strep, Mononucleosis, Urine Pregnancy, and Hemoglobin A1C testing in office; often providing you with results within five minutes.

We currently utilize St. Charles Medical Center Laboratory and Interpath Laboratory for all of our laboratory processing.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues to relieve muscle tension, stiffness, back pain and can include other healing benefits.

Dental Screenings & Sealants
