IUD (Intrauterine Device)

Birth control is available in many forms and an IUD is just one of the many we offer to our patients. We currently use Mirena ® brand and Paragard ® IUD. We encourage you to discuss with your provider which type would best suit your needs. Read the IUD FAQs.

While most children need only see a medical provider when they require a routine health exam or vaccinations, there are times when a cold lasts a little too long or a fall on the playground requires a few stitches; maybe even a cast. We’re here for that!

We typically leave a few appointments available on the schedule for “urgent visits”. So if you need to get in right away—and dread the wait (and cost) of going to the Emergency Room—give us a call.

Suspicious moles, unsightly warts and many skin disorders do not always require a trip to a dermatologist. We have the ability to remove, biopsy and treat most conditions or lesions right here in our office. We send specimens to St. Charles Medical Center Laboratory for pathological review.

If you’re planning a trip to a foreign country, chances are you’ll need a few vaccines to keep you healthy while abroad. Kirsten Heron PA-C is one of only a handful of providers in Central Oregon with the capability to provide Yellow Fever Vaccination to travelers. She offers comprehensive travel consultations and administers:  Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Polio, Hepatitis A and B, and Meningitis vaccines as well as prescriptions for Malaria prophylaxis.

Our Medical Assistants are skilled phlebotomists offering the convenience and ease of having blood drawn immediately before or after your appointment. Additionally, we have the capability to perform:  Rapid Strep, Mononucleosis, Urine Pregnancy, and Hemoglobin A1C testing in office; often providing you with results within five minutes.

We currently utilize St. Charles Medical Center Laboratory and Interpath Laboratory for all of our laboratory processing.

Massage Therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues to relieve muscle tension, stiffness, back pain and can include other healing benefits.

Diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral health obstacles ranging from mild to severe.

Dental screenings are performed by a dental hygienist to check for cavities, gum disease or other oral ailments. Sealants are offered to help prevent teeth from decay.

(Commercial Driver’s License) A physical exam is performed to check overall health and wellness to qualify an individual for driving commercial vehicles.
